The Transformers DVD featured at TvAddicts.tv

The Transformers is an American television series that featured giant robots that can transform into vehicles, animals and other objects. It was a resemblance of its comic series. The story was about giant robots which had at least two modes, for the first mode robots are on its humanoid form while on the second mode they were seen as vehicles, like bumblebee becomes Volkswagen Beetle. There are two groups of transformers, the Autobots who were the protagonist and the Decepticons who were the antagonist.

The Transformers was originally aired on 1984 and lasted until 1987. Most of its characters were toy based. The TV show was produced by Takara and was licensed outside Japan by Hasbro. It was released into movie in between the season 2 and 3 at the United States. Special episode, “Scramble City” was written and animated, bridging the gap between the two seasons for the fans of Japan.

It was directed by Jay Bacal and John Gibbs, written by George Arthur Bloom and Leo D Paur. The story was started on Cyberton, four million years ago where life existed on robots that can feel and think. They were called the transformers. Divided into two clans, the Autobots led by Optimus Prime whose main goal is peaceful co existence between everyone. And the other clan led by Megatron which is called the Decepticons, who brings problems and conflicts.

In the year 1984, The Ark erupted awakening the transformers. They now invade the earth and continued on their war. Decepticons' goal is to get all the Earth's resources and convert it to energon for their selfish use. While the Autobots' goal is to stop them while protecting the human race. The antagonists gained the lead at first, but as most stories goes, the good always prevail. The Autobots prevented them from leading and escaping the orbit.
